- Dallas guard Luka Doncic led the visiting Mavericks to a 148-143 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, setting a franchise-high 73 points, the highest point total in the NBA this season. Doncic’s total of points is tied for the fourth-highest in NBA history. David Thompson scored 73, and Wilt Chamberlain scored 73 twice. Doncic finished with 10 rebounds, 7 assists, and 25 of 33 shooting, including 8 of 13 3-pointers and 15 of 16 foul shots. It was the league’s 15th all-time and second-ever 70-point game this season. The Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid scored 70 points on Monday.
