Alex Jordan Minter Ejected For Allegedly Involving In If the Braves can secure a victory on Sunday, their goal is to sweep the Mets. Watch the competition on Sunday, May 12 at 7:10 Eastern.

The New York Mets broke the Atlanta Braves’ joint no-hitter in the ninth inning when JD Martinez went yard, but the Braves still prevailed on Saturday. Raisel Iglesias came in for the save but gave up the home run despite Atlanta’s incredible display on the mound. Iglesias now talks about how losing the no-hitter affected him.

According to Jorge Castillo of ESPN, the Braves are primarily concerned about winning. Surprisingly, though, Raisel Iglesias acknowledges that he was unaware that his club was in the midst of a no-hitter.

“They asked me if I knew there was a no-hitter when the game concluded and I entered the clubhouse. Actually, I had no idea.

The fact that Iglesias was unaware of the no-hitter in progress is a little strange. It would be similar to starting a game without knowing the score. However, it’s possible that this allowed Iglesias to play more loosely. After appearing reliable during the first two outs, he unintentionally hit JD Martinez with a duck down the center.

Brian Snitker, manager of the Braves, wasn’t too concerned about losing the no-no. Getting the victory is the only thing that matters. In the National League East, Atlanta is only two games behind the Philadelphia Phillies. However, given that the team hasn’t recorded a no-hitter since 1994, it’s unfortunate that they were unable to secure the victory.
