Great News: Michigan football is set to sign ex-Toledo quarterback Dequan Finn

Finn is an intriguing name in the portal, having thrown for 44 touchdowns and rushed for 15 for Toledo over the last two seasons. Finn is also from Detroit, so playing for his alma mater, Michigan, could be appealing. Ohio State is also looking for a quarterback after Kyle McCord entered the transfer portal, while Michigan State recently acquired Oregon State transfer Aidan Chiles.

Finn was named the MAC Player of the Year after throwing for 2,654 yards and rushing for 563 yards on 123 carries in 13 games for Toledo, which concluded the season 11-2 and will face Wyoming in the Arizona Bowl on December 30.

In the portal, the Michigan football programme has been linked to a number of quarterbacks, most notably UCLA transfer Dante Moore. A position upgrade is critical for the Wolverines, and adding a dual-threat athlete like Dequan Finn would be an intriguing addition, especially with Jim Harbaugh’s future with the programme uncertain amid NFL rumours once again.

Dequan Finn is one of the bigger names left in the transfer portal, with Dillon Gabriel, Riley Leonard, and others already seeking new opportunities.
