Goodnews: Kyron Johnson finally completes deal with Pittsburgh Steelers

For the Steelers’ game at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts, linebacker Kyron Johnson was promoted from the practice squad to the Active/Inactive Roster. Following the game, Johnson will return to the practice squad.

On October 10, Johnson was added to the practice squad. Additionally, he was activated for the New England Patriots game in Week 14 and the Week 13 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Johnson was selected in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Eagles. In 16 games last season, he mostly participated on special teams.

Johnson attended the University of Kansas for his college football career. As a senior, he recorded 61 tackles, which was third most in the Big-12 and included 8.5 tackles for a loss, 6.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles. Johnson was also selected to the All-Big 12 team. He also picked up two turnovers.
