Though it hasn’t been available for long, the college football transfer portal has already generated a lot of buzz. Oregon football is one team that has already found success with the portal. Dillon Gabriel, one of the best quarterbacks in the portal, recently committed to the Ducks.
But Oregon isn’t done yet; they’re still looking for a quality quarterback. Dante Moore, who committed to play for the Ducks in high school, is transferring from UCLA. Moore is now scheduled to return to Eugene for a visit.
Pete Nakos tweeted that Dante Moore will be visiting Oregon football later this week. Given that the Ducks recently acquired Dillon Gabriel, this is an intriguing move, but Moore is obviously interested in Oregon. ESPN continues to feel that Moore would be best suited for Michigan football, even though he is only visiting.
Because of his potential, eligibility, and the flashes he displayed this fall at UCLA, Moore is probably at the top of many people’s draft boards, according to ESPN’s Tom Luginbill.
Moore, a native of Detroit, sees sense in attending Michigan since it would allow him to return home and compete for a championship each year he is still eligible. He’s not quite the same runner, but he shares many characteristics with Jayden Daniels as a passer.
