Giancarlo Stanton Sustained A Career Ending Injury As Result Of…..

Injuries wrecked the New York Yankees during the 2023 season, a problem that has plagued the team for the previous few years.

The Yankees’ top aim is to be healthy in order to enjoy the season they want. Injuries sustained by Nestor Cortes, Carlos Rodon, Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Judge, and others contributed significantly to the year’s dismal performance in 2023.

Cortes’s torn left rotator cuff caused him to miss time. In New York, he only threw 63 1/3 innings and had the lowest ERA of his career (4.97).

Cortes looked like himself again on Sunday during his start against the Detroit Tigers. In four pitches, he made 54 points.

According to Greg Joyce of The New York Post, Cortes remarked that his shoulder felt better than it has in a long time after the game.

Cortes said, “Best it’s ever been in a while.”

The all-star lefty continued, saying he felt laid back and that everything was in rhythm. Finding a rhythm this early in Spring Training is encouraging for the Yankees because of the funkiness of his delivery.

The season for New York may ultimately come down to how Cortes and Rodon feel, even though the offence will need to perform at a high level.

The Yankees will encounter the same issues as they did the previous season if they are not well.
