Four-Star Wideout Added by Michigan to No. 1 Recruiting Class

Four-star wide receiver Channing Goodwin was added by the Michigan Wolverines on Sunday, continuing their recent recruiting hot run. For the Wolverines in the 2024 class, it’s the first wide receiver pledge.

If Goodwin had committed someplace other than Michigan, it would have been shocking given all the favorable conditions for Michigan. Goodwin’s current high school teammate, five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis, is committed to Michigan’s 2024 class. In addition, Goodwin’s father was a Wolverine player in the early 2000s.

Right now, the 6-1, 180-pound wide receiver is ranked No. 7 in North Carolina and No. 38 among wide receivers nationwide. Goodwin chose the Wolverines over a number of other schools, including Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, North Carolina State, South Carolina, and Virginia.

Goodwin’s commitment has brought the Wolverines’ class of 2024 commitment total to 16, potentially making it Harbaugh’s biggest class to date. Here is a look at every player that has so far been a member of Michigan’s top-ranked recruiting class.
