Following former Michigan football player and linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green and former Michigan coach Biff Poggi to Charlotte for the 2023 season, Hill-Green entered the transfer portal following the Wolverines’ 2022 Big Ten championship and College Football Playoff triumph. After spending just one season with Poggi & Co., Hill-Green is once again on the move, this time transferring to the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Big 12 territory.
Nikhai Hill-Green witnessed some good Michigan football action in the first part of this decade when the Wolverines returned to the Big Ten and the national title chase. Nevertheless, the former Michigan linebacker hit the transfer portal in the spring, following one of his old coaches to Charlotte for the 2023 season, given that the Maize and Blue had a stacked linebacker room this autumn.
The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native played in 17 games in 2020 and 2021 while playing for Michigan football; however, he did not take the field in his junior year in 2022. Nevertheless, throughout his time at Michigan, he recorded 51 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one pass deflection under head coach Jim Harbaugh.
As he attempts to establish himself as a prominent NFL Draft prospect for 2025, Nikhai Hill-Green will once again be on one of the greatest platforms in the sport thanks to conference realignment, the CFP’s expansion, and UCF’s move to the Big 12, a Power 5 conference.
