Zach Gentry, a tight end, was added by the Las Vegas Raiders to their active roster from the practice squad of the Cincinnati Bengals, the team announced on Wednesday.
The Pittsburgh Steelers originally selected 6-foot-8, 265-pound tight end Gentry in the fifth round (141st overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. Gentry played in 40 games with 26 starts during his first four seasons in the league (2019–22), amassing 39 receptions for 303 yards. In 2021, he achieved career highs in receiving yards (167), average yards per catch (8.8), and catches (19).
Gentry, an Albuquerque, New Mexico native, spent his four seasons at Michigan playing in 33 games, 24 of which he started. He caught 49 receptions for 817 yards and four touchdowns.
