ESPN REPORT: Five Reasons Bosa Joins Exclusive NFL Hall Of Fame

Nick Bosa, the current NFL Defensive Player of the Year, joined an exclusive group of active pass-rushers with his effort in the 49ers’ 45-29 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at State Farm Stadium.

Bosa’s second-quarter sack of Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was number 10.5 for the 49ers All-Pro. This is only the fourth active player to record 10 or more sacks in three straight seasons. It is Bosa’s third consecutive season surpassing the 10-sack benchmark.

The only other active players to do so are Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns (6 seasons), Haason Reddick of the Philadelphia Eagles (4 seasons), and Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys (3 seasons).

In the 49ers’ victory over Arizona, the defensive end for the 49ers also caused a fumble, making it the eighth time in his NFL career that he has had at least one sack and one forced fumble in the same contest.
