The passing assault of Michigan during the previous season was undoubtedly clumsy, erratic, and in search of a voice, much like the first season of The Office. But with better chemistry with three of his top targets this season, as well as the backing of his offensive line and running backs, McCarthy is ready to solidify Michigan’s aerial identity and provide this offence the much-needed flow it needs.
Hopefully, he can do this without smelling like bacon when he wakes up.

But as the final outcome was announced, the man had one in his mouth.
“I have superstitions similar to how they do in hockey, regarding the Stanley Cup, and this game simply means a lot to me.” McCarthy said to Rutledge, “I just was waiting for this moment to be able to put it in my mouth. I didn’t touch it all week.”
The beginning of Michigan’s College Football Playoff semifinal matchup versus Alabama at the Rose Bowl on Monday could not have been worse.
On the opening play from scrimmage for Michigan, J.J. McCarthy looked to have been intercepted by the Wolverines.
