The day before the NFC Championship Game late last month, Nick Sirianni was driving from his house to the Philadelphia practice site. It was a fifteen-minute journey, but it allowed the Eagles head coach and native of Jamestown, New York, to temporarily trade some of his favourite music for the “one-day-at-a-time” mentality that has served him so well over the past two years. He said to the Jamestown daily The Post-Journal this week, “I was listening to some of the songs that I would listen to before sporting events when I played.” “I get to play (in a game) to go to the biggest sporting event,” I thought to myself, tears welling up in my eyes.
