The success of Georgia football in the NFL draft is evidence of the well-functioning apparatus that head coach Kirby Smart has established in Athens.
The Bulldogs led by Smart have sent 34 players through the draft in the last three years, which is the highest for any programme in that time frame.
The Philadelphia Eagles, who have selected five Bulldogs in the last two rounds, are the NFL team that has selected the most players from Georgia. During a media conference this week at the NFL combine in Indianapolis, head coach Nick Sirianni discussed what makes Georgia players unique.
Beginning in Detroit on April 25, the draft this year may send more Georgia Bulldogs to Philadelphia. This week, eleven former Bulldogs will compete in the Combine, and on March 13th, they will showcase their skills at Georgia’s Pro Day.
