Jackson’s first two years at the collegiate level have been up and down – largely down. He’s only had 34 total tackles and four pass breakups up to this time. He has yet to catch an interception, which is surprising given that he had at least four during his high school career.
Jackson is now seeking for a new collegiate home, and what better location to do so than Ann Arbour, where he will play for the Michigan Wolverines.
Let’s catch you up if you’re not familiar with high school recruiting. Jackson was a highly regarded talent in the 2022 class. According to 247Sports’ composite, he was a five-star prospect and the No. 2 cornerback in the country. In high school, Michigan was highly involved in Jackson’s recruitment, arranging visit after visit — including an official visit in September 2021 — in the hopes that he would eventually commit and sign.
The Wolverines did everything they could, but in the end, Jackson sided with the Trojans.
One of the key reasons Jackson was interested in Michigan in the first place was cornerbacks coach Steve Clinkscale’s aggressive recruiting efforts. The Jacksons are originally from Youngstown, Ohio, which is also Clinkscale’s hometown, thus they have a connection.
