In 2023, the Cleveland Browns overcame numerous challenges to secure the first Wild Card slot. In spite of having five different quarterbacks start for them, the Browns had one of their best seasons ever, going 11-6.

Sadly, they were ousted by the Houston Texans during Super Wild Card Weekend, bringing an abrupt end to their season. Cleveland’s effort was nevertheless successful despite the unfortunate exit.

In order to keep moving forward, they will be aiming to make some improvements coming into the 2024 NFL offseason. The Browns could use some better injury luck because they lost multiple important players to season-ending injuries.

Due to injuries at the offensive line, head coach Kevin Stefanski had to dip far into the squad’s reserves. Their first focus this offseason should be to address their depth difficulties.

Another terrible injury ended left tackle Jack Conklin’s 2023 campaign, and the team may decide to capitulate him in order to save money. While rookie Dewand Jones surprised everyone with his contribution, Jedrick Wills Jr. struggled hard.

The Browns will need to find unconventional solutions to their depth problems because they don’t have a lot of money to invest. This can entail taking a chance on players that offer cheap off-season labour but are high risk/high reward.

One player who would be a good fit, according to Max Dible of Heavy, is David Bakhtiari. When he’s on the field, the veteran left tackle for the Green Bay Packers is still a top producer. However, it has proven to be an enormous challenge to keep him on the pitch.

This season, Bakhtiari only appeared in one game because he was injured for the majority of the season after being listed in the starting lineup in Week 1. With an 11-game campaign in between, that is his second appearance in a single game in three seasons.
