According to 247Sports, he is the No. 6 interior offensive lineman, No. 109 overall prospect, and No. 2 junior from Louisiana in the 2025 class. He’s also a four-star prospect in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, where he’s ranked the No. 125 overall player and No. 6 interior offensive lineman in the 2025 class and the No. 3 junior from Louisiana.
On August 1, Harper accepted an offer from Tennessee. He disclosed his Tennessee offer in a post on his X account, tagging McKenzie Milton and Micah James, two offensive analysts for the Vols.
Scouting analyst Gabe Brooks of 247Sports stated in November that Harper was “pretty raw” but had “plenty of upside” as a prospect.
“Harper plays physical and sets the tone at the (line of scrimmage) for Shreveport (La.) Captain Shreve,” Brooks wrote at that time. “He is a block-finisher and down blocker by conviction. Harper demonstrates above-average foot quickness and the necessary lateral mobility, but his hand placement and body control are still developing. Although hands don’t always land on target, they do so when they do.
“The motor doesn’t seem to be in doubt, and overall movement ability is above average. Some schools may view Harper as a future combo offensive lineman based on his long-term projection. He’s really raw, but I think he has a lot of potential, so I really like him.”
Harper acknowledged to 247Sports’ Bryce Koon that he still needed to work on at least one significant area of his game after attending an LSU camp in June.
Harper said to Koon at the time, “I know my strengths are my ability to be a good run blocker and just being nasty up front.” “Coaches have expressed their admiration for my footwork and ability to drive opponents back during a run game. My pass protection is what I want to focus on the most and will keep doing so. That’s something I need to work on more to become a more capable lineman.
Five commitments for the 2025 class have already been made to Tennessee, the best of which is four-star tight end Jack VanDorselaer, a Top247 recruit from Southlake, Texas. There are currently no expected offensive linemen in the Vols’ 2025 class.
Eighth-ranked Washington State shocked No. 2 Houston was shocked by a late comeback by Arizona and TCU. However, surprise! This season, that’s simply another Saturday in college basketball where nobody is safe while driving. Vibrant road venues are losing everyone and their mother. There are no longer any perfect teams. There’s nothing left but anarchy.
Texas A&M vs. Kentucky came down to two huge plays in the final seconds of both regular and overtime. It came down to the final play of regulation between St. John’s and Creighton. Incredible late rallies were necessary for Utah State and Tennessee. The TCU-Houston game was intense. Both the Kansas State-Texas Tech game and the Baylor-Cincinnati game were decided at the buzzer. If you stayed up a bit longer, you witnessed San Jose State defeat Air Force in dramatic fashion with a corner 3-pointer made by Myron Amey Jr.
Coach Tim Miles of San Jose State called it “insanity.” “We appear to be drowning, and the Spartans emerge victorious. Fantastic method to win our first Mountain West match.
