TO HOST OXFORD-NATIVE DB, JAN 10 REBELS Brandon Turnage, an Oxford native and former defensive back for the Tennessee Volunteers, is allegedly scheduled to visit the Ole Miss Rebels this weekend.

Turnage played for Lafayette High School in Oxford, Mississippi, during his prep years. He initially signed with the Alabama Crimson Tide before switching to Tennessee for the 2021 year. With the Vols, he has totalled 48 tackles and one interception during his collegiate career.

9 JAN HOSTING FORMER ALABAMA LB, OLE MISS Former Alabama linebacker Kendrick Blackshire is scheduled to visit the Rebels, per a report from On3 on Tuesday night. The former four-star prospect was brought in by Ole Miss defensive coordinator Pete Golding while he was under Nick Saban’s coaching staff from 2018 to 2022.

In the 2021 cycle, Blackshire was ranked as the No. 24 linebacker and the No. 32 recruit in Texas. According to On3’s rankings, the product of Duncanville, Texas, is now ranked as the No. 34 linebacker in the country. Blackshire has amassed 25 total tackles, two tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in his three seasons with the Tide.

REBELS LAND UNC OL TRANSFER JAN 8 Through the transfer portal on Monday, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin acquired a new, crucial member of the offensive line.

On Monday, the 6-5, 330-pound athlete made his decision public on social media. Ole Miss’s offensive line is getting thin after their recent setbacks. Victor Curne, the starting tackle, is no longer eligible, and Micah Pettus was hurt and missed the last four games of the season.

Mincey was expected to start for the Vols in 2024 as an offensive lineman, according to Volunteer Country on SI.com. However, he signed on the transfer portal on Saturday and promptly scheduled a flight to Oxford, where the Rebels are trying to strengthen their own offensive front.
