CONGRATULATIONS: Cleveland Browns Appoints New OL Coach

On Wednesday of Super Bowl week, the interchange of new, old, and Cleveland Browns coaches continues.

It was later revealed that Cleveland’s assistant offensive line coach Scott Peters was also joining the New England Patriots, following reports that former Browns offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt hired T.C. McCartney as the team’s quarterbacks coach.

Bill Callahan’s exit created a significant void for head coach Kevin Stefanski, even though Ken Dorsey was formally hired as the team’s offensive coordinator in addition to Duce Staley and Tommy Rees on the offensive side of the ball.

Having interviewed Andy Dickerson, the offensive line coach for the Seattle Seahawks the previous two seasons, for the Browns’ open coaching post, he appeared to be a strong contender for the offensive line job. As stated

As said, Dickerson has worked as an assistant offensive line coach for a few clubs, most notably Cleveland in 2009 and 2010. Before moving to Seattle, he played for nine years with the St. Louis Rams, who later changed their name to the Los Angeles Rams.
