The Chicago Bears’ trade with the Carolina Panthers throughout the offseason has put them in a good position to select first overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. Nevertheless, Chicago will have to choose their selection because Justin Fields is in the fold and quarterbacks are the best players in the draft class.

Will the Bears move down in favor of Fields, as they did in the last draft? Or will they decide to start over and select a new quarterback to spearhead their renovation and acquire additional assets along the way?

That’s the case in the most recent NFL Mock Draft that CBS Sports’ Chris Trapasso has presented. According to Trapasso, the Bears will give up Fields to the Las Vegas Raiders in return for a few first-round selections.

According to the aforementioned plan, Fields is acquired by the Raiders in exchange for the 74th overall pick in the 2024 draft and a third-round pick in 2025 that might be traded for a second-round pick if Fields plays at least 75% of the snaps in 2024.

But it would make sense for the Bears to trade Fields away if they decide they have had enough and make big changes to the front office and coaching staff. With so many talented quarterbacks in the class, the 2024 draft is the ideal time to make that decision.
