Charles Woodson Reveals Next Raiders Head Coach

Given how Antonio Pierce has played, the Las Vegas Raiders might not need to conduct a thorough coaching search this offseason. He now has a memorable victory on his record and the squad is back in the running for the playoffs after the Week 16 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Pierce is undoubtedly gaining momentum in his quest for the position, and he recently got a significant recommendation. Charles Woodson, a Raiders great and Hall of Fame defensive back, remains very much a part of the team. His word is very important to the team, and he publicly endorsed Pierce to be the head coach for the upcoming campaign.

During a broadcast on SiriusXM NFL Radio on December 27, Woodson remarked of Pierce, “I don’t think he could have done a better job.” And to defeat the Chiefs, one of our fiercest competitors, on the road in the same manner that they did. He has left his mark on the group. Thus, yes, Mark Davis can search far and wide, but he won’t locate any Raider who has a better understanding of the ideal appearance than Antonio Pierce. Thus, I would grant him my approval. Based on my observations thus far, it appears that the players have also given him their blessing based on their performance.

The choice of the head coach for the upcoming campaign will ultimately be made by owner Mark Davis, but remarks made by well-known figures like Woodson will only improve Pierce’s prospects.
