As always, Travis Kelce enthusiastically represents Cleveland. He always seizes the opportunity to represent Northeast Ohio, and this time was no exception. It was the same on Thursday.
Myles Garrett, a great player for the Browns, was questioned about his influence on his community both on and off the pitch as Kelce prepared to attempt and win his third Super Bowl.
Finding your flow and playing at a high level are two things Kelce is quite familiar with. He’s on the verge of winning another Super Bowl right now because he’s finding his own groove in the postseason.
Although Garrett would rather that the Browns participate in the Super Bowl this Sunday, being the winner of the greatest defence player award would be a nice consolation prize.
After 11 games this season, Garrett was well on his way to taking home the trophy. He made the life of opposing offences miserable while recording 27 total tackles and 14 sacks.
The seasoned star’s season did not seem good in the home stretch as injuries and the opponent’s focus took precedence. Although his effect never diminished, his stats did. The first thing on the opponent’s game plan was to stop No. 95 from ruining the football game.
From his sack in Week 1 to seal the victory against the Bengals, to his complete takeover against the Colts in Week 7, to the huge plays he made at the end of the Bears game in Week 15, Garrett’s 2023 season was filled with memorable events.
