Browns QB Joe Flacco Signs A Mega Contract Deal With Lions With An Interesting Caveat

The Cleveland Browns would have faced the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC divisional round if they had defeated the Texans in the AFC wild-card round. The Browns, who earned the fifth seed in the AFC, would have faced the top-seeded Ravens if they had defeated the Texans.

This is because both the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs secured victories in the first round of the playoffs.
Lamar Jackson and Flacco chatted after the 13th annual “NFL Honours” ceremony. Jackson was crowned the 2023 AP NFL MVP, and Flacco won the 2023 AP Comeback Player of the Year title.

It seems that Jackson and Flacco talked about what it would have been like to face each other in the AFC divisional round.

“I was hoping I was gonna get the chance to walk back in there,” stated Flacco. “It was gonna be a lot of fun.”

Against the Texans, Flacco had an unmemorable performance. In the game, he threw two interceptions as Houston easily won 45–14.

In March, Flacco will be free to sign with any team. Whether the Browns will make a major effort to re-sign him is still up in the air.
