This squad should be highly competitive for years to come if Deshaun Watson performs as he did in his final game of the season and returns to full strength.
However, the Browns are in the hardest football division, and each club will probably improve before the following campaign begins.
Notably, the Pittsburgh Steelers are the team that is most likely to undergo a well-known transition.
Justin Fields and Russell Wilson are reportedly targets for the Steelers.
In light of this, Tony Grossi questioned Aaron Goldhammer on Twitter about who he would be more worried about if they were the quarterback for the Steelers (via ESPN Cleveland).
Fileds was Goldhammer’s first choice for the former Super Bowl winner without any hesitation.
That shouldn’t come as a huge surprise because Wilson hasn’t looked like the same player since joining the Seattle Seahawks, even to the point where the Denver Broncos benched him and he is now eligible for release.
While Fields has experienced some injury difficulties, he has also displayed flashes of excellent play during his time with the Chicago Bears. Fields is, by far, younger than Wilson.
The Steelers are attempting to overhaul their ever-struggling offence, led by one of the top coaches in the game, Mike Tomlin, which is obviously horrible news for the whole AFC North.
However, the Browns shown that they had a defence worthy of a championship, so going into the upcoming season, they shouldn’t be scared of anyone—not even a divisional rival for life.
