On Friday, Tennessee gained a commitment from three-star cornerback Colin Brazzell, adding him to the class of 2024. The Volunteers entered the race quite late, having evidently jumped in after his brother Chris was removed from Tulane’s transfer portal.
Colin, the younger sibling, has joined the defence for the Volunteers after older brother Chris joined the team last month.

Brazzell, a player for Midland Legacy High School, hails from Texas. Fitting Tennessee’s mould, the 6-2, 170-pound defensive back gives the Volunteers another long-term cornerback prospect to work with. According to On3, Brazzell is ranked just outside of the top 1,500 prospects in the country. In the state of Texas, he is ranked 141st among players.
Purdue, Colorado, and Tulane were the other universities considered for Brazzell. It’s obvious that once his older brother Chris moved to Knoxville, his recruitment changed.

The Rose Bowl is a special occasion. Among the most esteemed bowl games in college football history is this one. Fans and members of the media have referred to the game as “The Grandaddiest of them All” for years. The 2018 meeting between the Georgia Bulldogs, ranked third, and the Oklahoma Sooners, rated second, more than lived up to the hype. This playoff matchup, which had a chance to go to the national championship, was intense from beginning to end. There was no greater contrast between the two teams. Georgia’s oppressive defence and Oklahoma’s quick-witted offence combined to make the Amazing plays, wild lead changes, and opportunistic turnovers characterised this matchup, which ended in an exciting shootout that needed extra time to decide the winner. With the score tied at 48 all after double overtime, Georgia was in a great position to win and go to the playoffs. What makes this game so unique is the lunacy that existed before everything else. So let’s go back and see how we got there.

According to On3, Brazzell enters Tennessee’s 12th-ranked 2024 class. In their class of 2024, the Volunteers boast four-star cornerback Kaleb Beasley, four-star athlete Boo Carter, three-star safety Edrees Farooq, and three-star safety Marcus Goree.
After the season, Tennessee experienced a major exodus in the secondary as six veterans used the gateway to locate new residences. The Volunteers now have another long body to develop over the next few years, and they will witness a youth movement in the defensive backfield.
