Harbaugh has more immediate plans, though, as the top-ranked Michigan football team takes on the No. 2 Washington Huskies on Monday night in an attempt to capture a national title. According to Brett McMurphy of The Action Network, the Wolverines’ players are aware of the possible conversations. Even quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pragmatic and states that, even though the head coach loves the university, he will make the best choice for himself.
McCarthy remarked, “It’s apple pie, cherry pie.” Making the decision between Michigan and the NFL is fantastic in both cases. He seems like he will stop at nothing to make the best choice for himself. He is quite fond of the school.
McCarthy believes that Harbaugh’s desire to rejoin the NFL was sparked by his storied chances of winning a Super Bowl and a national championship. In his junior year, the 20-year-old signal-caller has passed for 2,851 yards, 22 touchdowns, and four interceptions so far.
He’s a rival, McCarthy declared. “I could see him trying to obtain that, especially with a National Championship year and (a chance at winning) a Super Bowl. Put an end to his career in the distance.
Cornelius Johnson of the Wolverines, who stated that Harbaugh is unstoppable, feels the same way. Johnson now holds the third-best receiving position on the squad with 44 receptions for 579 yards and one score this season.
Johnson declared, “He could do anything.” “He could simply retire if he so desired, and he could return indefinitely.” For all I know, this might be his final coaching gig. Alternatively, he might be able to coach abroad or in a different state.
When Harbaugh was the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014—a tenure that included a Super Bowl appearance—it was his final NFL coaching position. But, the Michigan football incident involving sign-stealing has also put Harbaugh under intense scrutiny this season.
The Big 10 conference also punished the head coach for three games in November as part of their enquiry, after the school had already suspended him for three games in August. Kris Jenkins, the defensive tackle for Michigan football, stated that despite the animosity held against the programme, the team has proven everyone wrong and will keep doing so.
“Most of the time, they simply don’t want to accept what’s happening right now, which is essentially how the season has been going thus far,” Jenkins stated. That is our sentiment. We repeatedly disproved everyone’s assumptions, game after game after game. As we’ve been saying, we have no idea how many more justifications people have, but we’ll have to wait and see.
