The Wolverines feel they have found their long-term starting centre.
A quality offensive line prospect who combines technique, feel, and power. Has spent much of his prep career as a cornerback, but his body type and skill set indicate that he will likely play his best football on the inside. In the spring before his senior year, he was about 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds. He doesn’t carry much bad weight, which makes him an effective puller because he can get lateral quickly and move people out of the way. With hefty hands and a strong upper half, he consistently wins. He will also finish assignments by rolling his hips.
However, if he is to attain his greatest potential, he must continue to improve in pass pro. Should be seen as a multi-year starter in the middle who can also play on the outside in a pinch. Will most certainly need some time to adjust to the college game, but he has the build of a trench player who can succeed in a number of run-blocking schemes.
