Since the division’s creation in 1994, the Pirates have never finished first, while Cincinnati hasn’t won the Central Division since 2012.
Opening Day is still two and a half months away, so it will be interesting to see whether any of these clubs can make enough progress in the off-season to alter their current odds. For the most part of the 2023 season, the National League Central competition remained close, therefore 2024 should see another competitive season including all of these teams.
