Matt Eberflus and Ryan Poles continue their partnership.

An instruction manual for the upcoming Bears quarterback, assuming the organisation makes the proper choice with the number-one pick.
Bears General Manager: CB There’s no way Jaylon Johnson is going anywhere.
Matt Eberflus: The Bears offence “wasn’t where it needed to be,” which is why the firings occurred.
Matt Eberflus has a great deal of confidence going into the traditional win-or-else season.
Because of what they think Eberflus accomplished this past season with a 7-10 Bears club that started 2-7, neither team president Kevin Warren nor general manager Ryan Poles wavered in their support of Eberflus for 2024—not even the possibility of Jim Harbaugh running for office.
The Bears coach now needs to lead the team to the anticipated victories in Season 3, as was made clear during the press conference on Wednesday to wrap up the season.
“You bring me back to my NFL debut,” Warren remarked. “Well, we were 5-11 at the St. Louis Rams in my first NFL season, and 4-12 in my second.
“Then, we finished 16-3 and won the Super Bowl the following year. And I recall speaking with coach (Dick) Vermeil, our executive vice president, Jay Zygmunt, and our president, John Shaw, on a number of those days.”
Thus, they won’t alter. Even after a difficult setback in Green Bay on Sunday, they will continue to coach Eberflus because, in Warren’s words, “…we’re pointed in the right direction.”
They anticipate that Eberflus will lead the club to a division title and further wins, rather than necessarily winning the Lombardi Trophy as Warren did.
“…the worst thing you can do on an organisation that is making progress is to turn around too quickly,” Warren stated, drawing on his experience in St. Louis. Eberflus’ Bears finished 3-14 and 7-10.
