The Lakers most likely won’t make any transactions at the trade deadline, or at least not ones that have a significant impact. The Lakers are still one game out of even the play-in round despite having won five straight games thanks to the play of 38-year-old LeBron James. It seems like they have made up their minds not to give up a first-round pick for a player like Bogdanovic who does not elevate them to the title of contender (the Pistons still want an unprotected first-rounder for Bogdanovic, who was probably the best player moved at the deadline). However, LeBron requested and was given assurances of roster enhancements to make the Lakers a threat in the West when he inked a contract with the team this summer.
