With suspension served, Brad Marchand is set to return Thursday as Bruins begin six-game trip - The Boston Globe

Brad Marchand, the captain of the Boston Bruins, did not practice on Saturday morning after leaving Game 3 at the second intermission and not coming back.

Marchand got the worst of a collision with Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett early in the first period of his team’s 6-2 loss on Friday night. As the Panthers forward executed the hit, Marchand seemed to take the end of Bennett’s stick. He was rattled up and needed assistance getting to the Bruins bench as he fell hard to the ice, fortunately in front of the bench.

Brad Marchand missed a few shifts, but he came back and made an effort to overcome his injury from the incident with Bennett. After two periods of play, Marchand was done after playing 10:51, 15 shifts, and recording four hits but no points.
