When it comes to trash talk, Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields isn’t lagging behind, particularly when it comes to protecting the Windy City team against the Green Bay Packers.

In Week 18, the Bears and Packers will square off in a game that the Cheeseheads absolutely must win. Green Bay still has something to play for even if they are already eliminated from the playoffs. The Packers will make the playoffs if they triumph.

It goes without saying that when Jordan Love and company finish the season at Lambeau Field, there will be big expectations for them. On game day, the Green Bay supporters are anticipated to be boisterous as they attempt to inspire the team to triumph.

However, Justin Fields sent a very scathing message to Packers supporters, saying he expects the same level of favour from the opposing supporters because they have no purpose in Wisconsin. Ouch!

There’s no way Justin Fields could have been more vicious than that. But what can supporters anticipate from their bitterest opponents, the Green Bay Packers? The Chicago Bears cannot afford to lose in Week 18, especially since it would mean that their bitter rivals will advance to the postseason while they are at home contemplating their 2024 prospects.

If the Packers lose, the other teams vying for the playoffs would have to lose as well, which means Fields and the Bears can at least make things a bit harder for them.

It’s important to note that Aaron Rodgers, the former quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, stoked the rivalry by making fun of the Chicago Bears before Justin Fields started talking trash.

Rodgers supported the Packers and blasted the Bears on his most recent visit on The Pat McAfee Show. The quarterback for the New York Jets, who was formerly Chicago’s boogeyman, stated that he no longer believes the rivalry exists because the Windy City team hasn’t defeated his old squad in a long time. Matt LaFleur, in fact, is 9-0 versus Chicago since he defeated Green Bay in 2019.
