When the Cleveland Browns faced the Los Angeles Rams in Week 13, it appeared as though they had made a significant improvement at quarterback.
The arrival of former Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Joe Flacco allowed the Browns to genuinely show signs of life offensively for the first time in a long time this season. Despite the fact that Flacco’s current team represents his first meaningful opportunity since losing the starting role to Ravens MVP Quarterback Lamar Jackson in 2019, not all of his previous colleagues were happy that he decided to join a different team in the division.
Speaking his views about Cleveland Browns quarterback, Hall of Fame safety for the Ravens
Although Flacco may benefit greatly from this chance to end his career on a high note, many of his former Ravens teammates take the AFC North intra-division competition very seriously. On this issue, though, one well-known former teammate did stand up for him.
Ed Reed established himself as one of the finest safety to ever put on boots, earning him a spot in the hall of fame. Reed, a key member of the 2013 Ravers squad that won the Super Bowl, has defended Flacco in relation to his decision to trade in his Ravens shirt for a northern Ohio Browns one.
Regarding the situation, Reed responded forcefully: “It’s not like he’s heading to the Steelers, man! He is actually connected to Baltimore someplace. However, I support it wholeheartedly. If Joe can guide them to the playoffs, it might be a Cinderella story and it could be fantastic. During Reed’s miscalculation, the Steelers were undoubtedly the Baltimore Ravens’ main adversary, while the Bengals and Browns were both stuck in the middle of nowhere.
