Avery Gach Makes A Surprised Debute To Michigan football

The Wolverines needed some good news after a difficult week for Michigan football in the recruiting process, and they had it on Friday when four-star offensive lineman Avery Gach declared his commitment to the university.

Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Michigan State were the other contenders for the 6-foot-5, 290-pound offensive tackle from Franklin, Michigan, but Michigan football secured his pledge.

As per the 247 Sports composite rankings for the 2025 class, Gach holds the second position among players in the state of Michigan. He is the Wolverines’ fifth promise overall and the 236th best recruit overall.

Gach isn’t a five-star wide receiver, but Michigan football understands the importance of having a strong offensive line, and the Wolverines can benefit greatly from having Gach. Despite the opinion of some that he would be better suited as an interior lineman, he possesses the size and athleticism to play tackle on either side.

Here’s Sherrone Moore celebrating a major win. Yes, the state’s top recruit, Bryce Underwood, is attending LSU, but NIL is the main reason for this.

The Wolverines should have no trouble acquiring Gach, an offensive lineman who is ranked as the second-best player in the state. This recruiting should go to U-M ten times out of ten. Even yet, this is the second four-star pledge in as many weeks.
