F1 News: Max Verstappen Reveals the Worst - 'We Have a Fundamental Problem'

Max Verstappen Tragically Kicks The Bucket @30 After Battling With During the Monaco weekend, Red Bull, the leaders of the championship, found it difficult to handle the bumps on the street circuit and could only manage sixth place through Max Verstappen, who was sandwiched between the two Mercedes drivers. Ferrari and McLaren topped the order.

Vasseur conceded that the field had narrowed in 2024 and that, depending on how each future circuit was constructed, the three teams that had won races this season may all be in contention for more wins.

The Frenchman was eager to emphasize that Ferrari needed to keep moving forward and that the team’s desire to compete for F1 titles was unaffected by the knowledge that Red Bull might be defeated. He claimed that believing that its work was done would be the “worst-case scenario” for Ferrari.

“It’s not a matter of motivation because the motivation is there for a while, but it’s self-confidence for the drivers, for the team,” Vasseur said.

“And for sure, as soon as you are in a position to win you pay more attention to details, you have a kind of snowball effect. This is part of the improvement of the last six or seven months.

“We have to continue like this, but the worst-case scenario would be to imagine that it’s done, that it will be like this until the end.

“Because I really believe that, as I previously stated, we will first have distinct tracks with unique arrangements and features. Ups and downs will occur till the end of the season as we compete more with McLaren or Red Bull.
