In his first full season in charge, the Spanish manager has led the Villains to their first-ever UEFA Champions League qualifying, their first since the 1982–83 campaign.

Villa finished in a historic fourth place under Emery, exceeding their seventh place from the previous season, when he took over in the middle of a relegation struggle.

The Birmingham-based team hopes to bolster their roster in the approaching transfer window in order to contend with the giants the following season now that their place in Europe’s top tournament is certain.

Aston Villa is reportedly interested in recruiting Carlos Soler, a top player for PSG, as a summer acquisition, according to an HITC report.

According to the report, Villa and the player’s camp have already started discussing a possible summer transfer.

Leveraging their experience from their time in La Liga, head coach Unai Emery and president of football operations Monchi highlighted Soler as a priority target, sparking interest in the Spanish playmaker.

According to reports, PSG is prepared to make a profit off of Soler, and Manchester City, Tottenham, and Arsenal have also been made aware of his availability.

This season, Soler has only started in 33% of the league games as he has battled to establish a consistent place in Luis Enrique’s starting lineup.

He has nevertheless made 23 appearances in Ligue 1, recording one goal and two assists.

Villa’s attempt to get Soler is probably going to be made easier by PSG’s readiness to let the midfield player go to another team.

A player such as Soler might provide Aston Villa the experience and caliber they need to take on some of the greatest teams in Europe as they get ready to play in the Champions League again.
