According to a recent rumor from Tuttosport, Aston Villa is reportedly targeting Weston McKennie, a midfielder for Juventus, this summer. The Villans are reportedly prepared to spend between €12 million and €15 million on the star midfield player from the United States later this season.
At the center of the Turin team’s midfield, McKennie delivered a number of standout performances during his career. The Texas native performed admirably last season, recording ten assists in 38 games for Juventus across several competitions.
The 25-year-old has contributed well in both halves of Serie A games, averaging 1.4 tackles, 0.5 interceptions, 1.8 clearances, 0.7 shots, 1.2 key passes, and 0.5 dribbles per game. He has also been accurate in midfield ball distribution, having completed 80.8% of his passes in the Italian top division (stats via whoscored).
