Breaking: Former Michigan Football Player Finds New Academy

Nikhai Hill-Green, a former Michigan starting linebacker, went to Charlotte this offseason after the Wolverines got Nebraska transfer Ernest Hausmann through the transfer portal. The news surprised Wolverine fans since Hill-Green participated in the 2023 spring game and was ready to speak to the media following the game. Hill-Green, along with Eyabi Okie and Damani Dent, elected to play for former Michigan coach Biff Poggi in Charlotte. After one season with Charlotte, Hill-Green entered the transfer window once more after the season finished.

Hill-Green will be back with a Power Five programme next season after committing to UCF.

Hill-Green started for Michigan in 2021 before missing the entire 2022 season due to injury. Last season, while playing for the 49ers, he developed into one of the team’s finest defensive players under Poggi. Hill-Green finished the game with 73 tackles, two sacks, and nine TFLs. He’ll enter UCF with a shot to start in the Big-12; linebacker was a major need for the Knights. Florida State also offered the former Wolverine a scholarship. He will be eligible for another two years.
