A. J. Hinch And Wife Erin Hinch Celebrates @25 Marriage Anniversary as the whole Detroit Tigers board joined to pray with his family, the marriage is blessed with two beautiful daughters.
Hinch moved to Oklahoma when he was eight years old, having previously lived in Nashua, Iowa. He graduated from Midwest City High School in 1992, having won the 1992 National Gatorade Player of the Year baseball title as a senior in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
In the 1995 Major League Baseball draft, he was selected in the second round; however, he chose to attend Stanford University, where he was selected in the third round following his junior year. After deciding to go back to school, he was selected in the third round in 1996 while still a senior.
He became a member of Delta Tau Delta International Fraternity at Stanford. Hinch was selected to the 1998 Topps All-Star Rookie Team and won a bronze medal for the United States at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
