It didn’t take CM Punk long to decide which brand to sign with and declare his intention to become a Raw superstar in the future. Though he doesn’t regret it, Punk apologized to any fans who may have been disappointed by his decision. He spoke about being back in Cleveland, the city where he left WWE almost ten years ago. Then, Monday nights were Punk’s “home” nights.

Seth Rollins came out of the back and headed for the ring as Punk celebrated his choice. Following a protracted staredown, Rollins told Punk that WWE was his home and that he should never refer to it as such. Punk then fled and spent ten years disparaging WWE and its wrestlers.

Then Rollins declared that although he despises Punk, he is happy to be in the WWE because he will be the first to fire Punk if he makes another mistake, as he always does. Before announcing his candidacy for the Royal Rumble and informing Rollins that, should he win, he might challenge Rollins for the heavyweight world championship, Punk informed Rollins that he was giving him one chance to talk in that manner. Throughout the remainder of the show, punk had multiple more backstage encounters with celebrities.
