The front office of the Browns has a lot of work ahead of it in order to put together a team that can return to the postseason and go farther in 2024.
In the upcoming weeks and months, as the NFL Combine, offseason workouts, and the NFL Draft draw near, the outline of that vision will begin to take shape. Meanwhile, there’s no shortage of conjecture at this time of year regarding what each team plans to do during the summer.
This week, Conor Orr of Sports Illustrated attempted to project every NFL team for the upcoming season in an audacious post. Orr concentrated on the quarterback situation for the Browns and Cleveland’s impending choice to recruit a backup quarterback for Deshaun
As for the other teams in the division, Orr predicted that the Ravens will select another wide receiver in the first round of the draft, that Ryan Tannehill will start at least four games for the Steelers, and that the Bengals will win the Super Bowl. The 16-year-old quarterback took the city by storm as he led the Browns to the playoffs, so adding him to the roster behind Watson would create an interesting dynamic.
