Ben Johnson, the offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions, has long been thought to be the front-runner to become the head coach of the Washington Commanders, but a recent report indicates that is not at all certain.
Adam Schefter of ESPN said on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Monday that Johnson is not guaranteed the Washington position. The search is not over, and the Commanders are still considering other options.
Schefter remarked, “I’m not convinced that Ben Johnson is getting the Commanders job just yet.” “I am aware that he is the apparent favourite and that he might be hired, but at this point it is by no means a done deal. Without a doubt, they are also observing other individuals. Once more, they might reconsider Ben Johnson, but I believe Mike Macdonald, Aaron Glenn, and Anthony Weaver have also made a good impression on them, and they have a good chance of winning the position.
