Joe Milton III kept winning on Tuesday after putting on a great performance at Neyland Stadium in his last professional game.

The best college football player receives the Maxwell Award Player of the Week award every week, and Tennessee’s senior quarterback was given this honor on Tuesday.

Milton had already won Reese’s Senior Bowl Offensive Player of the Week and Manning Star of the Week. For his effort in the Vols’ 48-24 victory over in-state rival Vanderbilt, he was also awarded East-West Shrine Bowl Monday Morning Quarterback.

Days after Milton became the first Tennessee quarterback to score six touchdowns in a single game since Jonathan Crompton accomplished the feat against Memphis in 2009, awards began to pour in. In addition to two rushing touchdowns, Milton completed 22 of 33 throws for a career-high 383 yards and four touchdowns (without any interceptions) versus Vandy. Since 2007’s triple-overtime victory over Kentucky, when Erik Ainge passed for seven touchdowns, no Tennessee quarterback had scored six touchdowns in an SEC game. However, Milton became the first quarterback in Tennessee history to score six touchdowns in regulation during a single SEC game.

However, Milton did not receive the SEC Offensive Player of the Week award. After leading the Tide and the Tigers to victories against Auburn and Arkansas this week, Jalen Milroe, the quarterback for Alabama, and Cody Schrader, the running back for Mizzou, shared the prize.
