During his weekly radio segment on Chicago’s 670 The Score, Parkins and Spiegel, Chicago Bears Pro Bowl cornerback Jaylon Johnson voiced confidence in his ability to re-sign with the team.
The free agent to be responded, “I expect to get a deal done,” when asked what he thought would happen this offseason.
Throughout his four-year career, the 24-year-old Johnson has started all 53 of his games. In 2023, he participated in 14 games and recorded 36 tackles, four interceptions (one for a touchdown), ten passes defensed, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.
He says there’s a lot going on with him and the team right now, so while some time may pass, they’ll be in contact shortly. He doesn’t provide a date for a new deal.
